Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Safety
- Protecting the client’s property while working on the job site from any loss.
- Maintaining site cleanliness to J.E.P. Contracting standards and beyond.
- Adhering to company policies regarding safety, language, drugs, drinking, and smoking.
- Adhering to J.E.P. Contracting’s safety manual & OSHA regulations at all job sites.
Carpentry & Field Work
- Assist in safety & protection to prepare for the project to start.
- Assist with job site setup and daily cleanup.
- The lead carpenter reviews the daily plan at the end of each day to prepare for the following day’s goals.
- Assist with any on-site Carpentry, as assigned by the Lead Carpenter/Project Manager.
- Receiving deliveries and on-site or off-site storage; signing receipts and checking to ensure proper quantities and quality.
- Storing materials in a way that reduces damage after they are delivered to the site.
- With the help of on-site team members, assist in erecting scaffolding and staging at the location determined by the lead.
- Responsible for having your tools based on the tool list
- All other duties as assigned by the Lead Carpenter or Production Manager
- Show a humble approach and sincere eagerness to acquire new skills
Software & Communication
- All communication must pass through the Lead Carpenter. Take notes, if needed. When possible, revert all information to the Lead Carpenter.
- Become familiar with the current projects’ workflow, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Punch in and out correctly using JobTread’s electronic time and attendance system
- Document detailed daily job logs using JobTread
