Current Open Positions
Production Carpenter
What You'll Do:
- Be a true team player - jump in and help wherever it benefits the company and crew.
- Get comfortable with JobTread (our main job management software) to support the production team.
- Learn current project workflows, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Assist the Lead Carpenter and Production Manager with on-site carpentry, assigned field tasks, material lists, and anything else you can contribute to.
- Apply solid knowledge of home construction sequencing.
- Read and follow plans, specifications, and construction documents accurately.
- Bring and maintain your own essential tools and safety gear daily (safety glasses, work boots, tool belt, basic hand tools, impact driver, drill, circular saw - extra tools are a bonus). We supply all fasteners, blades, and consumables.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly pay: $xx.xx per hour for the first 40 hours; overtime at $xx.xx per hour after 40.
- Weekly payroll (Sunday-Saturday week) via JobTread electronic time tracking.
- After 30 days: Review discussion; possible company cell phone; company credit/Home Depot card for approved purchases.
- After 60 days: $50,000 life insurance and long-term disability coverage.
- After 90 days: Performance review with potential wage increase; full health (Tufts Direct 2000 Silver Plan), dental (Delta Dental Premier), and vision insurance - company covers 100% of individual premium; 7 paid holidays; 40 hours paid vacation after 1 year; 40 hours annual paid personal/sick time.

Lead Carpenter
What You'll Do:
- Take full ownership of the job site - deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Attend all pre-construction meetings, job site meetings, production meetings, and staff meetings.
- Set up and maintain job signs, dust protection, safety measures, and site security.
- Perform skilled framing and finish carpentry while overseeing the quality of work from carpenters, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all installations meet manufacturer instructions and warranty requirements.
- Communicate proactively and constantly with clients; maintain detailed daily logs.
- Only proceed with change orders if signed and approved in coordination with Production Manager and Sales.
- Enforce strict safety standards (company manual + OSHA); serve as the competent person on site.
- No tolerance for drugs, alcohol, smoking, or foul language on site.
- Collaborate on schedules; coordinate subs, vendors, and crew; create and communicate daily action plans.
- Provide clear scopes to subcontractors; inspect and verify their completed work; approve payments.
- Manage inspections - know local processes, schedule all phases, be present for inspectors, and resolve issues.
- Handle material takeoffs, advance ordering, delivery verification, and tool/safety inventory.
- Help evaluate and hire new carpenters/apprentices; support company events like home shows.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years documented experience with extensive knowledge of all phases of remodeling and construction.
- Excellent problem-solving, judgment, ethics, oral/written communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently with a professional appearance.
- Proficient at reading architectural drawings.
- Must hold and maintain a Construction Supervisor License (CSL).
- 10-hour OSHA safety training.
- RRP Certification.
- Basic computer skills (email, cloud-based software like JobTread).
